Marriage between a man and a woman in the Bible

The following are examples of a few marriages in the Bible (KJV):

Genesis 2: 24 (referring to Adam and Eve and to their posterity): “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.”

Genesis 6:18 (regarding Noah and his wife and their sons and daughters-in-law): “But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee.”

Genesis 12:5: “And Abram [later named Abraham] took Sarai [later named Sarah] his wife, and Lot his brother’s son, and all their substance . . . into the landĀ of Canaan . . .”

Genesis 24:67: “And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her . . .”

Genesis 41: “And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnath-paaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On . . .”
